There has been a playgroup in Gotham since 1964 and we have welcomed children from Gotham and the surrounding areas to come and play, enjoy and achieve. In September 2010 we moved to our present location at Gotham Primary School where we share the community room with the Cuckoo's Nest (morning and after school club). We also have the use of the adjoining main hall and our own secure outside play area.
In December 2008 we achieved a GOOD in all areas of our Ofsted report (at our previous location Gotham Memorial Hall).
The playgroup is run by a voluntary Committee and has charity status.
We qualify for government funding for all children the term after their 3rd birthday for 15 hours per week.
We are a sessional care pre-school open Monday to Friday 9am to 12pm, mainly following Gotham Primary School's holidays and inset days.
At present we have five members of staff, two at level 3 and one at level 2. The other two members of staff are currently trying to access level 2 training. Staff access courses are appropriate to keep up to date.
